4.6 Inch Perisphinctes Ammonite - Jurassic

This is a classic Late Jurassic ammonite fossil from Madagascar of the genus Perisphinctes. It's 4.5 inches in diameter and preserves the distinctive ridges of this type of ammonite. It still has matrix attached to the back side of it, so it will stand up on it's own without the need for a stand.
