Arched 1 1/2 Inch Phacops Speculator Trilobite

This is a nicely prepared example of the Middle Devonian trilobite Phacops speculator from the Hamar Laghdad Formation in Morocco. It's just over 1 1/2 inches long around the curve and nicely presented on a sculpted piece of natural matrix. It was prepared using air abrasives and shows great detail. Just take a look at the beautiful eye facets that are present.

There is a repaired crack through the trilobite where the rock was broken during collection and a small section of restored shell along the crack but otherwise it has no restoration.
